Terms of Service

Last updated: June 7, 2026

1. Acceptance and Scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the paid services provided by CleanSlate Storage Solutions LLC (“CleanSlate,” “we,” “us”) to customers (“you,” “Client”). By booking a service, paying a deposit, or receiving totes from CleanSlate, you agree to these Terms. Website-specific terms are in our Terms of Use.

2. Services We Provide

CleanSlate offers the following services in its service area:

  • CleanSlate Transformation. A one-day decluttering, organization, and storage-system installation in residential garages, basements, attics, and similar spaces.
  • Moving Assistance.Four packages for residential moves: Packing, Pack & Load, Unload & Unpack, and Unpack. Clients may purchase any combination of these packages.
  • Tote Rentals. Short-term rental of heavy-duty plastic totes for residential moves, with delivery and pickup included.

3. Booking, Quotes, and Payment

Transformation and Moving Assistance engagements are quoted individually based on scope. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Booking for these services is confirmed upon receipt of a signed quote and any required deposit. Tote rentals are booked through self-service online checkout; you accept these Terms by checking the consent box and completing checkout, and no signed quote is required.

CleanSlate does not collect a deposit on tote rentals. You provide a card that is saved to your customer record, and at checkout we charge the package price together with any larger tote pack you select, any delivery and pickup fee for moves outside Lancaster County, and a rush fee if you request a last-minute drop-off (see Section 5). If you add the optional packing kit, it is charged to the same saved card immediately after checkout. Promotional free-tote offers (such as the Free Totes Lancaster County campaign) waive the package price, so only the items you select are charged. In every case the saved card is authorized for the post-rental charges described in Section 5 (damage, loss, excessive cleaning, and late return) and the restock fee described in Section 6, billed without further authorization. For Transformation and Moving Assistance, CleanSlate sends a secure invoice after scope is confirmed; deposits are due at booking and the balance is due on completion. Applicable taxes are added where required. Returned or failed payments may incur additional fees equal to our processing costs plus $25.

4. Transformation and Moving Services

Client agrees to provide safe access to the project space, including clear pathways, working utilities, and any keys or access codes needed. Client will identify hazardous materials (chemicals, firearms, biohazards) before the project begins. CleanSlate does not transport or dispose of hazardous materials.

Decisions about what to keep, donate, or dispose of are made by Client. CleanSlate coordinates donation and junk removal with third-party providers but is not responsible for the acts or omissions of those providers. Estimates include a reasonable junk-removal allowance; volumes beyond that allowance may carry additional costs, which we will communicate before incurring.

Change orders (additions or changes to scope requested on the day of service) are accommodated where possible and billed at a reasonable rate communicated before work continues.

5. Tote Rental Terms

Bailment. Tote rentals create a bailment for hire. Title to all totes remains with CleanSlate at all times. Client takes possession of the totes as bailee during the rental period and is responsible for their care, custody, and control until pickup. Client will not sublease, rent, sell, or transfer the totes to any third party, and will release the totes only to a CleanSlate employee or authorized partner at pickup.

Rental Period. The standard rental period is 14 days, measured from delivery. Client may extend at the weekly rate published for the applicable tier. Extensions must be requested before the scheduled pickup.

Rush Delivery. Drop-offs scheduled fewer than 72 hours before the requested delivery time are last-minute requests. They incur a rush fee shown at checkout and are subject to confirmation and tote availability; CleanSlate confirms the requested time with you before it is final.

No Deposit. CleanSlate does not collect a refundable deposit on tote rentals. In place of a deposit, the card you provide at booking is saved on file (see Card on File below) and charged only for the post-rental fees and the late-cancellation restock fee described in these Terms.

Card on File. The card used at booking is saved on file with our payment processor and authorized for the following post-rental charges, billed automatically without further authorization: $30 per tote for damage or loss; $5 per tote for excessive cleaning; $10 per day late fee after the grace period in this Section.

Grace Period and Late Fees. CleanSlate allows a one-day grace period past the scheduled pickup date. After the grace period, a late fee of $10 per day accrues until totes are returned. If totes are not made available for pickup within 30 days of the scheduled pickup date, and Client has not contacted CleanSlate to extend the rental, the totes are deemed purchased by Client. CleanSlate will charge the full replacement value of $30 per tote to the card on file, in addition to any accrued late fees, and title to those totes passes to Client on payment.

Damage and Loss. Normal wear is expected and not charged. Damaged or lost totes are billed at $30 per tote. CleanSlate determines damage at pickup. Client will receive a description of any damage before fees are charged.

Excessive Cleaning. Totes that require cleaning beyond routine (for example, paint, adhesive, permanent marker, hazardous residue) are billed at $5 per tote.

Additional Totes Mid-Rental. If Client needs more totes during the rental period, CleanSlate will deliver additional totes subject to availability. Each additional tote is billed at $7 plus a $35 re-delivery fee within Lancaster County. Additional totes are picked up with the original stack at the scheduled pickup date.

Weight and Contents. Client will not overload totes beyond their safe capacity. Client will not pack hazardous materials, perishable food, live plants, animals, or illegal items in the totes. Client is responsible for damage to totes, persons, or property caused by improper loading.

Delivery and Pickup. Delivery and pickup are included for moves within Lancaster County. For moves outside Lancaster County but within our delivery range, a distance-based delivery and pickup fee applies; it is calculated from your drop-off and pickup locations and shown at checkout before you pay, and under promotional offers the totes themselves remain free. Moves beyond our delivery range are not available through self-service; contact us for a custom quote. If no one is available to accept delivery at the agreed time, or the totes cannot be safely left as arranged, a $50 re-delivery fee is charged to the card on file to schedule a second attempt. Client grants CleanSlate permission to access the delivery and pickup address at the scheduled times for the limited purpose of delivering and retrieving the totes.

Risk of Loss.Risk of loss for the totes passes to Client at delivery and returns to CleanSlate at pickup. Client is responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage during the rental period and is encouraged to maintain appropriate homeowner’s or renter’s insurance.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Transformation and packing projects may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 72 hours notice. Cancellations inside 72 hours of the scheduled start date may forfeit the deposit to cover allocated labor and inventory.

Tote rental cancellations more than 72 hours before scheduled drop off: full refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations within 72 hours of scheduled drop off: a $50 restock fee is charged to the card on file. Cancellations after delivery (totes returned unused): a $99 restocking fee is charged to the card on file. Any paid upsells (packing kits, tote-package upgrades) are refunded for cancellations made before delivery.

Free-tote promotional offers. The rental fee for promotional offers (such as the Free Totes Lancaster County campaign) is fully waived and no deposit is collected. A card is saved on file at checkout, and only the items you select are charged: a larger tote pack and any delivery or rush fee at checkout, and the optional packing kit on the saved card immediately after. The promotional free-tote offer is limited to one set per customer, identified by email address or delivery address. CleanSlate may decline, cancel, or charge for duplicate or abusive claims, including attempts to evade this limit through additional email addresses, names, or households. Cancellations more than 72 hours before scheduled drop off are free of charge. Cancellations within 72 hours are charged a $50 restock fee to the card on file. Damage, loss, late return, and excessive cleaning are billed to the same card per Section 5.
